How long will my order take to ship?

Tropicality jewelry is made to order. Orders typically ship within 1-2 weeks, depending upon availability and required labor for each purchased item. You will be notified if your order will take any longer. Unless otherwise indicated, all domestic orders ship USPS and will arrive within 3-6 business days of the date of shipment.

Am I able to exchange/return my purchase?

If you are not completely satisfied with your order, you may email us at shoptrop@gmail.com within 60 days of your order leaving our studio. Please explain the need for a refund or an exchange/replacement. Upon approval you will be emailed with instructions to mail the items back to us with in 10 days. You are responsible for the mailing costs of your return. First exchanges will have free shipping back to you (again, First Class USPS with tracking). We do recommend insuring any jewelry items as we are not responsible for items lost in the mail.  We also are not responsible for damaged items so we strongly suggest you package your returns in a padded box and mark it fragile. Returned merchandise must include Tropicality packaging and tags, and must be in the same condition as when it was received.  

Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment.  Once your return is processed, a refund will be issued for the merchandise amount.  Shipping charges cannot be refunded.  Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to post to your account.

Gifts received can be returned for a one-time exchange of equal or lesser value for up to 90 days from the delivery date. Proof of purchase is required.



Can I get my Tropicality jewelry repaired?

Tropicality is happy to repair your jewelry.

Less than 6 months after purchase is FREE.

More than 6 months is subject to a repair fee. *Fee is contingent upon the type of repair and is based upon purchase price.

If an item is irreparable for any reason due to product and/or material discontinuation, product unavailability or manufacturer price changes, a store credit will be issued for the original amount paid, less shipping and handling fees.

Jewelry Care

How do I take care of my jewelry?

Each piece of Tropicality™ jewelry is handcrafted and requires delicate handling. Please follow our recommended care routine (listed below) to extend the life of your jewelry.

Tropicality™ is fragile with a mix of fine metals as well as a variety of gold plated metal products and natural tarnishing does occur over time.

Regular polishing with a soft jewelry cloth (sold at most drug stores) is best to polish your sterling silver, and gold vermeil jewelry. Do not dip in silver cleaners. Simply wipe with the soft jewelry cloth to clean. Over time, sterling silver naturally oxidizes (turns slightly darker). 14k gold fill rarely tarnishes and may also be wiped with the same soft jewelry cloth. Gold Vermeil, however, although thickly dipped in 150+ micro inches of 14k gold, will come off over time but can last years and years if properly cared for.

Follow these steps to help keep your jewelry looking its best:

  • It is recommended to remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, cleaning or working with abrasives of any kind.
  • If you choose to wear your jewelry in the salt water make sure rinse (with fresh water) and dry your jewelry thoroughly.
  • Apply beauty products such as perfume, cologne, hairspray, lotion or deodorant before wearing your jewelry as certain chemicals in these products may damage the finish.
  • Do not bang, rub or drag jewelry on furniture, walls, tables, flooring or other hard surfaces.
  • If your jewelry requires cleaning, use a mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Rinse with clean water and pat dry.
  • Use a soft brush, if necessary.
  • Never use jewelry cleaner. Jewelry cleaners are too harsh and may contain abrasives. 
  • Use a polishing cloth for precious pieces.
  • Dry jewelry completely before storing.
